Here is my biography...

My name is Jaime Gorgojo, and I’m a professional actor. I grew up between Madrid, Copenhagen, Valencia, Seattle, and Durham, in a family of nomadic medical doctors. This childhood across cities and countries made me a native actor in both Castilian Spanish and American English, with a good ear for accents, a strong ability to adapt, and an international scope.

When I was a kid, my dad used to say I’d become “a lawyer for the underdog,” because I couldn’t stand unfairness and always spoke up for others. That led me to study and graduate in a double BA in Law and Business Administration and a MA in Lawyering... but halfway through, I was already sneaking off to drama school. In the end, I realized I wasn’t meant to fight cases in court, but to tell human stories on stage and screen. I traded legal arguments for characters, but the goal stayed the same: to stand up for empathy, just through a different craft.

Over the years, I’ve trained at several acting schools, always eager to keep learning. In Madrid, I studied at El Estudio (formerly Estudio Juan Codina), Estudio Corazza, Actores Madrid, Metrópolis c.e, and others that helped me find my voice as an actor. I also trained in London, with a Meisner summer course at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) and acting workshops at GoHub London. For a while, I worked as a lawyer at AISGE, which gave me a behind-the-scenes look at the industry. And in 2024, I finally made the full leap! Acting became not just my passion, but my profession.

In 2023, I received a scholarship to join the Ágora Joven ensemble at Teatro Fernán Gómez, where we created and performed a collective piece alongside Compañía Guindalera. That same year, I had a surreal experience with a fictional character I created on TikTok - Inspired by the spanish film 'Primos' (2011). PrimosI played the character so naturally that many people (including journalists) thought it was real. The story went viral, racking up over 30 million views and receiving coverage both nationally and internationally.

In 2024 and 2025, I worked as a co-lead on a national tour with Theatre4schools, performing in over 200 musical theatre shows in English across Spain the plays: Excalibur and Sleeping Beauty. I also filmed my first international series as a lead, though I can’t share details just yet. Plus, I took part in promotional campaigns for Squid Game (Netflix) and Red One (Warner Bros) with the company Andtonic, traveling all over the country. I’ve also worked in commercials for brands like Nike and Loomis. Furthermore, this year, I graduated with a Master’s in Stage and Theatre Direction, learning from great theatre mentors like Chiqui Carabante, Andrés Lima, Carlota Ferrer, Luis Luque, Pablo Remón, and Laila Ripoll. This experience helped me fulfill yet another dream: teaching acting at a professional school. I’m currently a teacher at El Estudio (formerly Estudio Juan Codina) and Palomitas Teatro, where I coach talented, funny, and motivated students—and direct their plays.

For me, acting isn’t just a job— it’s a way of seeing the world through different eyes. I still have so much to discover (about myself and the characters I’ve yet to meet), but one thing that never changes is my commitment to keep learning, keep working with passion, and telling stories that truly connect with others. This dream—one that might seem reckless to many—isn’t a choice for me. It’s a deep calling I can’t ignore.

So far, my life has been a journey—sometimes confusing, sometimes full of mistakes. I’m still learning how to mess up, but one thing I’m sure of is that I am and will be an actor until the day I die.
